People impacted by the justice system often have a range of particular challenges related to accessing, using and making the most of the internet, yet we know it can make a huge difference to offering stability, connection, access to services, such as Universal Credit, and so much more.
We have worked with SACRO on a range of projects over the years, but most recently with their fantastic mentorship programme, Shine. Mentoring is a way of helping and supporting people in achieving their goals. The Shine Women’s Mentoring service provides women in prison, prior to release or in the community of serving a CPO with a mentor who will provide support on a one-to-one basis with many of the issues they might face in the community. In our work with Shine, we worked with mentors to embed digital inclusion in their mentorship.
